Bangsamoro Government Starts Construction of Another 100-Bed Isolation Center
Upi, Maguindanao (05 June 2020) – A week after the turn-over of the 100-bed COVID-19 Isolation Center located at Cotabato Sanitarium Hospital in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao, the Bangsamo Ministry of Public Works (MPW-BARMM) started today the construction of another 100-bed capacity COVID-19 Isolation Center located at Datu Blah Sinsuat District Hospital, following its official Ground Breaking Ceremony here.
MPW Minister Eduard U. Guerra spearheaded the activity and will continue to oversee its construction to make certain that the facilities will be of quality standard, and be completed ahead of schedule in anticipation of the need for more isolation and quarantine areas as the region prepare for receiving Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) and Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) in the Bangsamoro region.
In a meeting between the National and Bangsamoro Inter-Agency Task Forces on COVID-19 Thursday, Minister of the Interior and Local Government Atty. Naguib Sinarimbo said that looking forward, the Isolation Centers dedicated for COVID-19 related cases are strategically situated inside hospital compounds to make sure that even after the pandemic, these facilities can still be utilized for medical purposes in service of the Bangsamoro People.
