Covid-19 Relief Drive: DEO Tawi-Tawi Employees donated half of their salaries to buy relief goods
The Bangsamoro Ministry of Public Works (MPW-BARMM) headed by Minister Eduard Uy Guerra through the Tawi-Tawi District Engineering Office (DEO); The DEO Employees donated half of their salaries to initiate a Relief Drive that will help different families especially those who are living in far-flung barangays in the province that are affected by the Enhanced Community Quarantine.
Mayor Abdulhasan I. Sali of Languyan Municipality, Congressman Rashid Matba of Tawi-Tawi Province and different contractors such as PAZAMBATASUL Development Inc. also extended their help.
The accumulated funds yielded about 1,000 sacks of rice and 10,000 pieces of canned goods that could help around 5,000 families.
Different Local Government Units in the Province and the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) then lent a hand on repacking and distributing the relief goods.
At present, Tawi-Tawi DEO continues to accept donations from good samaritans in order to help more families in the province.
